Fit for purpose, fit for program assays

Custom Mass Cytometry Panels

Add up to 10 additional markers to a verified cytometry backbone to profile specific cell types, targets, and pathways, relevant to your research and drug programs.

Backbone Panel Built on What Works
  • Published Research
  • Real-world feedback from academic and pharma teams
  • Expert review by mass cytometry KOLs
  • Years of hands-on panel development experience
Each panel starts with 33 or 41 markers to profile:
Lymphoid Cells
  • T Cells
  • B Cells
  • Natural Killer (NK) Cells
Myeloid Cells
  • Dendritic Cells
  • Monocytes
  • Neutrophils
  • Basophils
  • Mast Cells
Customizable to Your Program - Add 1 - 10 Markers to:
  • Detect target-specific markers
  • Understand mechanism of action
  • Support dose selection
  • Measure drug pharmacodynamics

Develop a custom cytometry panel
in weeks, not months.

Panel Verification Report

With every project, receive a report that includes the full panel configuration, an example gating scheme, and reference plots for functional marker staining.
  • Panel Configuration
See the selected antibody clone, metal conjugate, and staining concentration for each marker on the panel.
  • Example Gating Scheme
Visualize the panel's performance on a healthy human whole blood donor sample.
  • Reference Range Establishment
Compare functional marker staining in stimulated and unstimulated PBMC control samples.
Marker Verification Process

Read about how we test and select optimal antibody concentrations to stain markers by mass cytometry. Each marker is verified by:

  • Performing a six-point titration to determine the optimal staining concentration.
  • Comparing the MCV for the positive population at each concentration.
  • Comparing spillover into neighboring channels at each concentration.

Cytometry Assay Validation

Perform additional intra- and inter-run validation testing after any custom panel development project.
Starting price per assay validation project
$15,000
Turnaround time from receipt of all specimens
3-6 weeks

Assay Validation Process

See how we qualify assay performance following defined SOPs and quality standards.

Intra-run Precision Testing

  • Three replicates from each of ≥3 donors are processed in a single run of the assay.
  • Validation is defined as achieving CV ≤ 20% across at least 95% of phenotypic populations and at least 90% of functional subsets.

Inter-run Precision Testing

  • Three replicates from each of ≥3 donors are processed by different operators across runs.
  • Validation is defined as achieving CV ≤ 25% across at least 95% of phenotypic populations and at least 90% of functional subsets.

Sample Stability Testing

For panels developed for samples preserved with TokuKit, monitor subset frequencies and marker expression over multiple time points post-collection.

Reference ranges

Establish expected ranges for immune cell populations and subsets in defined donor groups.

Assay Validation Report

With every cytometry assay validation project, receive a formal report documenting assay robustness, reproducibility, and performance.

The report establishes qualification parameters, acceptance criteria, and normal and disease ranges.
  • Precision Testing
Evaluate intra-run and inter-run reproducibility using multiple donors and replicates, with defined acceptance thresholds for both phenotypic populations and functional marker subsets.
  • Stability Assessment
Assess sample stability for up to one month using TokuKit-preserved whole blood under specified storage conditions.
  • Reference Range Establishment
Define normal and disease ranges for immune subsets across donor groups.
